Discussion on The Right to Food

20 January 2021

The St. James Town Community Co-op will be hosting a workshop/discussion on the UN right to food:

What is the Right to Food? How can it apply for St James Town? What can it do for St. James Town?

Our community has long been in a struggle for space and resources to address the lack of access to healthy food for many in our community. This workshop is an opportunity for residents and allies to discuss ways to advocate for the Right to Food in St James Town.

.
The discussion/workshop will be led by Josephine Grey: a long term resident and human rights educator, a founding Director of OASIS food hub project, the St. James Town Community Cooperative, LIFT Toronto and Food Share and a UN observer on sustainable social development for Canada. We are very lucky to have Josephine leading this workshop and supporting St. James Town in the many ways that she does.
