Watch: St. James Town Co-op’s Emergency Food Program operating outdoors and struggling to meet demand
On this panel: Josephine Grey (founding director of St. James Town Co-op), Indira Tarachandra (social justice publicist), and Azikee Huie (Volunteer Coordinator and community member)
Every Thursday volunteers in Toronto’s St. James Town get together and hand out fresh produce and dried goods to families facing food insecurity but, for the last few Thursdays, the St. James Town Co-op has been prepping, assembling, and distributing outside because they no longer have a temporary indoor space to work from.
